The cost of our standard switchable glass ranges from $85-$130 United States Dollars (USD) per square foot. For orders under 40 square feet, you can expect to pay $130 USD per square foot. As the quantity increases, the price decreases. We may be able to negotiate the price lower than $85 per square foot for bulk orders.

Each piece of privacy glass is manufactured to the exact specifications of the customer. We cut holes for hardware such as door handles prior to shipping at no additional cost. We also can make any type of glass switchable through our lamination process. We can make X-ray glass and bullet proof glass switchable in addition to any glass that requires special ratings such as the pressure rating for glass in hurricane prone zones. Smart Film Pricing

Our smart film product is a self-adhesive film that is applied to existing glass, transforming it into switchable glass. Electric privacy film works just like electric privacy glass, going from transparent to opaque with the flick of a switch. The adhesive film is actually the same PDLC film that is laminated within our glass product. It is ideal for situations where there is already glass in place or for those who are looking for a more economical alternative to our smart privacy glass.

The price of our switchable film ranges from $35-$55 USD per square foot. As with our smart glass product, the price comes down as the total order amount increases. We offer bulk discounts on our smart film as well.

Energy Savings

What is the electricity cost for smart film or glass?

Switchable glass technology works by connecting the PDLC layer to a power source. While it does consume power to operate electric glass and film, it does not require very much of it. Only 5 watts of power are consumed per 10 square feet of film or glass, making 120 square feet consume no more energy than a 60 watt lightbulb. A lot of this energy consumption is negated by the energy saving features of our products.
